Advent Prayer 

In this season 

of giving,

open our hearts 

to love

In this season of joyful 

music, may we be 

those who celebrate 

the gift of life.

In this season of lights,

may we be light for one another.

In this season of ribbon and festive wrap,

may our lives be wrapped with God’s love.

In this season of evergreen,

may our care for one another be ever new and fresh.

In this season of shortened days and softly falling snow,

may we use each hour we have to gently fill the world with hope.

In this season of preparation,

may we find ourselves ready to be used by God to build a world of peace.

May we love one another with honest word,

Care for one another with actions of kindness,

Listen to one another with patient expectation

And share the gifts of heart that are sacred.
